After much delay and set back, the day finally came for Lady Captain, Mrs. Anne Murray, to proudly host her Lady Captain’s prize on Saturday 10th July at Donegal Golf Club Murvagh.

The golf on the day matched the occasion with some fantastic scoring by our Ladies. With a host of prizes up for grabs on the day, everyone’s eyes were still on the main one and it was Claire Paasch who produced the round of the day, coming in with 39pts to claim the 2021 Lady Captain’s Prize, pipping Valerie Kelly by a point who finished runner up with 38pts.

Young Lilia Geraghty continued to show her golfing prowess by claiming an impressive 3rd place on the day with 36pts.

The Lady Captain’s prize to the Men was played 2 weeks prior to the main day and the scoring in that competition was equally impressive.

Michael Martin was the eventual winner on the day, shooting an excellent 66 nett to claim top spot, beating Pauric Quinn by 1 shot who finished runner up with a 67 nett. Ian Cunningham was 3rd on the day with another impressive score, coming in with a 69 nett.

Congratulations to all the prize winners and to Lady Captain, Anne, and her Ladies Committee for ensuring the day was a
successful one, despite the restrictions in place.
