The Letterkenny Hospitals Golf Society visited the beautiful Cruit Island Golf Club on Wednesday last, where a super back-nine which yielded 25 Stableford points, and included three birdies on the 12th, 14th and 15th saw Mickey Ferry return an excellent winning score of 42 points to take the victory.
Following a steady front-nine of 17 points, Mickey found his best form second time round the tricky nine hole course, to add 25 points for a four point win.

Anne Cannon took the runners-up spot with a fine 38 points, just pipping a trio of players on 37 points, Eunan McGlynn, Ciaran Williamson, and Trevor Duncan, all of whom won their respective sections, while the next best score of 34 points gave John O Friel victory in his section, local knowledge paying dividends for John.

The Society’s next outing will be Ms. Marion Keating Captain’s Prize on Friday 1st September at Barnhill Golf Club, Letterkenny.
