Letterkenny Golf Club ‘putts’ the goodwill in golf classic for Letterkenny Hospital

The Letterkenny Golf Club hosted a successful golf classic on Friday in aid of the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH).

Paddy Rooney, chairman of the Friends of LUH, and Paul Carr, Captain of Letterkenny Golf Club, presented prizes to the winning teams.

The tournament raised much-needed funds for the hospital, with a big thanks going out to Crumlish Appliances for their continued support as the main sponsors, as well as all other sponsors.

The main prize winners were:

Winners; Greg Sullivan, Brian Neely, Michael Shiel & Danny McLaughlin with 96 pts.
Runners Up; Cynthia Fuery, Celine Bradley, Kevin Kiely & Mary Murray with 94 pts.
3rd; Gerry O’Sullivan, Ed Wickes, Paddy Delap & Columba Crawford with 93 pts.
4th; Barry Kavanagh, Stephen McLaughlin, Philip Robinson & Ciaran Brogan with 93 pts.
5th; David McGowan, Shane Kelly, Ciaran Quinn & Ryan Tyrell with 93 pts.

Best mixed team; Deidre McCarron, Roberta McDowell, Robin McDowell & Dominic Deeney with 87 pts.
Best ladies; Catherine Cooke-Harkin, Margo Birmingham, Angela Kilgallen & Anne Flannery with 86 pts.

Joe McManus, won first prize for the draw for those who attended the presentation. Martin Kelly, Frank McNulty, Mickey Ferry, Paddy Delap and Celine Bradley all won subsequent runner-up prizes.
