18 Hole Open Teams of 4 Rumble – Results
The competition last weekend was an Open – Teams of 4 RUMBLE and there was a good turnout for the competition over the weekend. The course was set up to test the best, with some very tricky pin positions on the greens, which coupled with the winter weather made scoring very difficult indeed. That did not deter the winning team though and led by the very experienced Ballyliffin member Kevin Murphy along with Kieran Grant, Eamon Whoriskey and the North West’s Ryan Bradley – the lads produced a very fine round of golf, to finish the difficult format, well ahead of their nearest rivals with a magnificent score of 105pts.

Eccles & McDermott Clinch the Owen Mc Daid (Roe) Winter League 2024 Title
The Final of the 2024 Winter League took place on Sunday morning at the club and it pitted 2 very formidable pairings up against one another. 2023 Winners Paul Eccles (14) and Kevin McDermott (17) came up against the very experienced Damien Doherty (5) and John P McConnell (12). In the Tough Sunday morning conditions, it didn’t take Eccles and McDermott long to exert their authority and they raced into an early 3 hole lead, which Damien and John found very difficult claw back. Paul and Kevin then capitalised on their early lead and playing some steady golf maintained their lead to clinch the victory and be crowned the Winter League Champions 2024.
