The alliance had depleted numbers today as many members were in Portugal enjoying the sun. They will be disappointed to hear that the weather here was just perfect for playing golf .
The Gross saw Brian McElhinney who birdied the 4 par 5’s in his round of 72 leaving him 3 ahead of the rest of the field. Brian has now won the first two competitions in the Gross.
In the Net the worthy winner was new member Patrick McCloskey from Moyola Park Golf Club .He was just a point ahead of Local Clive Davison. Patrick birdied the 18th to take himself into first place .
In the Golfer of the year Odran McGettigan is ahead in the Net with 13 points while Brian McElhinney is on 20 points in the Gross category.
The next competition will be held in North West Golf Club on Saturday 6th October 2018 .
