A staggering total of €55,200 has been raised at this year’s Donegal Crumlin Golf Classic, supported by Oakfield Park.

The annual event grows from strength to strength each year. The 2019 Classic took place on Friday May 31st at Donegal Golf Club.

Proceeds from the popular competition will be donated to the Crumlin Medical Research Foundation.

Ireland is one of the top three countries in the world for research progress in immunology, which impacts everything from cancer treatment to treatments for diabetes and viral infections.

Fundraising events all over Ireland like the Donegal Golf Classic have enabled €50 million to be invested into paediatric research since 2007.

Chairperson of the organising committee Darragh McGowan, wishes to thank the local business community for their continued support of this annual golf event and especially to Sir Gerry and Lady Heather Robinson of Oakfield Park, the main supporters of the event.

Sir Gerry & Lady Heather Robinson, Denise Fitzgerald (CEO of CMRF), Darragh McGowan (Chair of Organizing committee) and Alan Higgins (Golf coordinator at CMRF).
