Letterkenny Golf Club News Competitions results:
DMG Motors Open (16/08/2020)
After a runners up prize on captains day Vinny McLaughlin (16) went one better on Sunday by winning the DMG Motors open with a terrific 42 points including a birdie on the 2nd & 6 birdies.
2nd place also with 42 points was Peter Muldoon (11) with 10 pars & a birdie on the 10th, made all the sweeter considered the late night Saturday & Friday.
Gross prize went to Patsy Lafferty (5) with a terrific 3 over par round including birdies on 7th, 8th, 11th & 12th.
3rd place went to Liam Sweeney (9) with 41 points including 12 pars & a birdie on the last.
4th place went to Jack McGarrigle (7) also with 41 points in a round of 3 over par including 11 pars & birdies 6th & 8th.
Eamon Stevenson Financial Open (19/08/2020)
Winner on the day with a terrific 43 points was Niall Diver (20) including birdies on the 2nd & 11th.
2nd place went to Eoin O’Shea (18) with a super 42 points.
Gross prize on the day with a superb three under par round was Ryan Griffin (+1) with birdies on the 4th, 7th, 11th & 18th & only 1 bogey in a very impressive scorecard.
3rd place went to Shea Henry (12) with 40 points including a eagle on the 18th.
4th place went to Jamie Foley (4) in a super one over par round & 39 points.
Visitors prize went to Michael Curren with 38 points in a three over par.
Value Centre Open (21/08/2020)
Due to team involvement the field was small so only the winners prize was up for grabs.
1st place went to Greg Magee (10) with 40 points including birdies on the 2nd & 7th.
Cat 4 (17/08/2020)
Winner with 23 points was Michael McDaid (23).
Ballyraine National School Classic (22/08/2020)
Saturday saw the annual Ballyraine NS Classic take place with some terrific scores returned.
Winning team with a incredible 97 points was Davitt McLaughlin (18),
Eddie McHugh (17),Maurice McGettigan (20) & Odhran McGettigan (26) all members of strabane golf club.
2nd place with 95 points went to another away team, Sean O’Neil (19 Killymoon), Christoper Denvir (21 Moyola Park), Ciaran Coney (11 Killymoon) & Philip Donaghy (30 Killymoon).
3rd place with 94 points was Letterkenny members Andrew McGuckin (20), Michael Coleman (21), Sean McBride (17) & Michael McCormick (23).
4th place with 90 points was more Letterkenny members Pauric Morrison (14), Odhran Patton (18), Dara Patton (19) & Shane Patton (19).
Closest to the pin 16th hole, Adrian McClafferty.
Longest drive 18th hole, Charlie Coughlan.
Due to government restrictions no presentations can take place at the present time.

Senior League team won away in Strabane taking a 3-2 lead back to Letterkenny.
Donegal league team lost a very close contest to ballybofey & Stranolar .
Ulster cup team went down on Friday to a strong Portsalon team.
Pierce Purcell team went out to a very strong looking Cloghanelly side on Sunday.
