Events took place nationwide as part of the annual Culture Night last night – but a spectacular concert in Dunlewey stole the show.
A major concert held in Dunlewey as part of Culture Night was also televised on RTÉ One last night.
A number of artists took to the stage, including Irish post-punk band The Murder Capital, Ukrainian singer Olesya Zdorovetska, the remarkable Dublin singer-songwriter Aby Coulibaly, as well as Oscar-nominated actress and singer Jessie Buckley – with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performing alongside them.
During the show, Buckley led a poignant tribute to the late Sinéad O’Connor during the show also, performing a cover of the late O’Connor’s song “Troy”.
