The total number of patients on a waiting list at Letterkenny University Hospital remains at over 16,000 according to the latest figures.
The National Treatment Purchase Fund’s latest figures show that at the end of January, 16,021 patients were on lists at LUH.
That includes 14,484 people who are awaiting an outpatient appointment, 1,919 of those being children.
The longest lists for outpatient treatment are in Respiratory Medicine and Orthopaedics.
Meanwhile 1,537 patients are on inpatient waiting lists for a procedure at the hospital – with General Surgery, Orthopaedics and Gynaecology having the longest inpatient lists at the hospital.
