DONEGAL ETB GOLF SOCIETY NOTES:
The Donegal ETB Golf Society’s recent outing was held in Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club in memory of all our deceased society members.
Thanks to Jim McGlynn for compiling the beautiful display on show in the clubhouse of the various photographs and mementos collected throughout the years.
The weather was perfect for golf with little to no breeze and the course was in its usual excellent condition.
Margaret Harvey continued where she left off in Portsalon securing her second 1st place in a row with a tremendous score of 40pts, just edging out Deirdre O’Toole on a B.O.T.

Aidan Guthrie and Captain Elaine Russell were tied on 39pts with Guthrie taking 3rd place also on a B.O.T. Paddy Kelly completed the top five with 38pts.
Kevin McDevitt and Paddy Kelly were the winners of the front & back nine competitions respectively each scoring a very impressive 20pts.
After 6 events in the Golfer of the Year, only 18 points separate the top 6.
Éanna Ó Mainín still leads the way with a score of 84pts, followed closely by Aidan Guthrie on 80pts. Paddy McDaid 75pts. Margaret Harvey 72 pts. Myles Sweeney 71 pts. and Captain Elaine Russell on 66 pts complete the top 6.
In the Magnificent 7 Signature Hole competition, Paddy Kelly has joined Aidan Guthrie at the top on 14pts. Éanna Ó Mainín and Captain Elaine Russell are on 11pts. Paddy McDaid and Deirdre O’Toole complete the top 6 with 10 pts. each.
