The Letterkenny Hospital Golf Society held its final outing of 2024 at Portsalon Golf Club last Friday, the weather was mainly favourable and the course was in excellent condition.
Marian Keating produced the round of the day with a super score of 40 points to win by a clear three points from runner-up Cecelia Doran on 37 points.
Section winners were John James McBride, John Doherty, Monica McDonagh and Christine Johnstone.

The golf was followed by the Annual General Meeting with reports presented by the outgoing officers and the election of officers for 2025.
Outgoing Captain Maureen Sweeney thanked the society members for their support and good wishes during the year, saying she had really enjoyed her year as captain and was now handing over the reins to Joe Blake with her very best wishes for 2025.
Joe thanked Maureen for inviting him to be her vice-captain in 2024 and said he was looking forward to carrying out the role of Society Captain for 2025. Joe announced that he had invited Bridget McClafferty to be his vice-captain and was delighted that Bridget had accepted his invitation.
