The weather conditions have not been very favourable towards golfers this past week at Letterkenny Golf Club.

A high standard of golf is still been maintained in Letterkenny with a winning score on average been over 40 points.

The Saturday Open played on January 26 was won by Shane Scanlon (5.2) with 41 points and he also had lowest gross.

Shane had four birdies on the 2nd, the 4th, the 16th and the 18th. He also got 10 pars out of the course.

Gary Loveridge (12.0) was runner up with 38 points and Greg Sullivan (16.7) was not far behind in third place with 36 points.

There was a good turnout on Sunday 27th for the Members Competition. Patrick O’Kane (12.2) was the winner with 38 points.

Patrick had two birdies i.e. on 12th & 18th along with six pars.

Runner up was James McGarrigle (28.6) with 37 points and Martin Kelly (16.5) was third with 36 points. Jack Patton (4.2) won Gross with 36 points.

On Monday 11th February at 7pm, we are having a presentation on the new rules of golf in Letterkenny Golf Club.

A large crowd is expected and in order to properly prepare for this meeting you are required to book your seat by logging onto the BRS System (where you normally book online) and put your name on the prepared list of attendees.
